After many years as a art director in the music, advertising and publishing industries; Roy Garcia opened
RIB (aka.The Rock Instrument Bureau) in 2005.
The RIB is an independent Brand Agency serving clients from diverse industries along Latin America, US, UK & Berlin. He won a wide range of awards, from Cannes Lion as Art Director, DDB Network Pinnacle, MTV Best New Video as a Director and a Latin Grammy Award for Best Album Cover.
He is also a spoker for Students and TED Latin America. Member of the Grammy Academy and Art Directors Club NY. The studio's work is materialized on a wide range of media, like: film, packaging, books, posters, clothes, identities and websites.
Self taught illustrator from early age started his professional career at the Award Winning animation studio Punga. After working for several months on a variety of projects, he started co-directing them alongside Tomás Dieguez, the founder and director of the studio.
Some years later he met Roy Garcia, a well-known director/graphic designer in Latinamerica. Gianluca left Punga to dedicate himself to graphic design. He joined Garcia’s studio The Rock Instrument Bureau and for a period of two years he worked with big companies, fashion brands and music bands across America.
Later on Gianluca left The Rock Instrument Bureau to sign up with Partizan in London. He directed several commercials and projects for clients like Coke, KFC, O2, Virgin Atlantic, etc.
Gianluca lived and worked in London for a period of three years and moved back to Buenos Aires to sign a new alliance, this time as Creative Director, with The Rock Instrument Bureau.
